As former Chicago residents ourselves, we recommend leaving early on Friday afternoon to miss the heaviest traffic. Remember, Harbor Country runs on Eastern time, so plan your stay accordingly.

Arriving at Goldberry Woods

When you arrive, we’ll be here to welcome you: we’ll show you around your room or cottage, share a few of our favorite spots for dinner nearby and orient you to all of our outdoor and recreational amenities including the woods, bikes, kayaks, games, ping pong and a pool table in the Barn, and the farm. Help yourself to some freshly baked treats and a drink in the kitchen, and the rest of the evening is yours. Take a walk down to the Galien river, say hi to the chickens, or relax in the hot tub. If you arrive after 6 p.m., you can check yourself in, but our team is still reachable for any questions you may have.
