Our thoughtfully crafted elopement package is designed to make your intimate wedding magical and stress-free. The Elope in Michigan package is for the Bride & Groom and up to 10 guests. Lodging for all guests at Goldberry Woods is required for 2 or more nights.
Book your stay with us (mention Elopement Package in the Special Accommodations section), plan your fun getaway, arrive with your marriage license and rings, and we’ll get you hitched. Here’s what you can expect when you choose to elope with us:
- Ceremony Space: Choose between our beautiful pine row or our exquisite Modern Farmhouse Barn for your one-hour event.
- Officiant and Witnesses: We provide an officiating clergy and two witnesses to ensure your ceremony is legally binding.
- Professional Photography: Capture your special moments with a 1-hour professional photography session across our 30+ acres of farmland, orchards, and woods.
- Celebratory Touches: Enjoy a champagne toast with local sparkling wine and a 6″ wedding cake for two.
- Floral Arrangements: We’ll create a bouquet and boutonniere using flowers from our farm (in season)
- We are inclusive of all couples, LGBTQ+.
- Personalized Planning: Benefit from 1 hour of ceremony customization. Even consider adding on our Charcuterie Board or a bottle of wine to extend your magical day.
- Perfect Backdrop for Photos. The organic farm is an ideal backdrop for photos. Many choose to take pictures with our chickens and amongst the cutflower gardens.
Our elopement package is available Monday through Thursday for $1,500, plus a minimum two-night stay at our Inn, Cottages, or Vintage Campers at Goldberry Woods for all attending guests.
Friday through Sunday for $2,000, plus a minimum two-night stay at our Inn, cottages, or Vintage Campers for all attending guests.
The Legal Requirements of Eloping in Michigan
To ensure your elopement is legally recognized, here are the key requirements for getting married in Michigan:
- Age Requirement: Both parties must be 18 years or older.
- Marriage License: Apply in person at your local county clerk’s office if you’re a Michigan resident or in Berrien County if you’re from out of state.
- Waiting Period: There’s a 3-day waiting period after applying for your license.
- Validity: Your marriage license is valid for 33 days from the issue date.
- Officiant and Witnesses: An ordained officiant and two witnesses over 18 are required for the ceremony.
