Similar to a Yorkshire Pudding. We love to serve popovers on the side of our egg dishes accompanied by butter and Homemade Goldberry Woods Jam or Jelly.

Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 25 Minutes
Servings: 12

Ingredients:

  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 Cup AP Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and preheat your popover pans with it. You can use a 12-count muffin pan or the larger 6 count popover pans. You can set any pan on a baking sheet for easier handling if you need to.

  2. In a medium bowl or blender mix all of your ingredients together. You want your batter to be at least room temperature by the time your pans are done preheating. You can warm your milk slightly in the microwave before adding it to the batter or you can simply mix your batter and let it come to room temperature on the counter while you wait for your pans to preheat.

  3. Once pans are preheated, spring with cooking spray or melt a small amount of butter in each cup. Place pans back in the oven to reheat back up to temperature for a couple minutes. This will also allow your butter (if you used butter instead of cooking spray) to melt all the way.

  4. Fill each custard cup about 1/2-3/4 full. Bake 20-40 minutes depending on the size custard cups you chose. For the last 5-10 minutes of baking. Open the oven and quickly slit each popover with a small knife. Serve hot with butter and jam.
